The ideal candidate will contact potential residents supplied by the community and present the community in the most appealing way to encourage prospective residents to reserve a residence and subsequently move in. Represents the community professionally and contributes creative sales strategy to close sales and offer promotional ideas that are an integral part of the strategic marketing plan.


  • Reads, and develops a clear understanding, and is thoroughly conversant regarding community contract offerings and community advantages and distinctions and the ability to anticipate and address prospective residents questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Respond to initial prospect inquiries.
  • Gives professional, personalized and tailored presentations to potential residents. Arrange professional, well-planned closings.
  • Coordinate and accomplish follow up with all assigned and self-initiated leads on a timely basis to secure interest, appointments and sales.
  • Reach out to prospects in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database through telephone calls, e-mails, texts, and written correspondence to move qualified prospects through the sales pipeline, schedule appointments and conduct personalized and tailored tours of the community
  • Strategize and use creative follow up to close sales.
  • Enter all interactions and scheduled activities with prospective residents and depositors into the CRM database on a timely and comprehensive basis.
  • Make at least 10 voice contacts with qualified prospective residents each business day, set and keep at least two-three appointments each business week. On average, close two to three (2-3) deposits monthly, leading to two (2) move-ins each calendar month.
  • Maintain regular and frequent contact with depositors and applicants after the reservation is complete, coordinating with the Sales Coordinator and other staff as needed, continuing to advise the applicant during preparation for the move to the community. Counsel applicants on the completion of necessary forms and application procedures.
  • Maintain a professional manner in attitude and dress while presenting the community. Maintain a friendly, collaborative demeanor with peers.
  • Contribute to the overall creativity of the sales effort, including the appearance of the sales office and the model apartments and cooperate as a member of the sales team
  • Provide weekly, monthly and periodic reports on leads, sales and resident data, in conjunction with Front Porch proprietary software, CRM software, as directed. Maintain database and electronic files and generate information as requested.
  • Promote and maintain good working relationships and communications with applicants, future residents, co-workers, board members, and corporate representatives.
  • Comply with community rules and regulations, as set forth in the community employee manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have proven sales abilities including discovery and closing.
  • Must be organized, detailed-oriented, and take initiative with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Must possess superior customer service skills, and be a self-motivated team player
  • Must be flexible and work well under pressure, possessing good time management skills
  • Computer literacy and experience required

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred
  • Previous experience in retirement community sales preferred
  • Three (3) years in a direct customer service position required
